UGA's Official Anime Club

The first Org meeting of the semester will be held this Monday, August 22nd at 7:30pm in Tate 473. We have a lot planned for this semester and lots of important things to talk about, so please come out and join us! We always welcome and appreciate member feedback.

The meeting will be Wednesday, August 17 in room 213 of the MLC and will start around 7PM and go until about 10PM. We'll be showing Mystery M33t, announcing the two anchor shows for the schedule, and going over how our new rotating schedule works. There will also be discussion about going as a group to Anime Weekend Atlanta in September! Don't forget if you match the show to the officer who picked that show, you get something from the swag box. All this and more for *FREE*!

If you're thinking of running for an officer position for next year, please attend the meeting this Wednesday! We will have an informational session for potential candidates to explain the duties of the positions in detail. You will also have the chance to declare yourself if you haven't already, and to purchase a club card, which is needed to vote or to run for office. The elections will take place next Wednesday, April 20th.

As of 4/6/11, the club voted, following prior discussions, to go ahead with a shift in formatting for our weekly meetings.

This is an overview of the changes to be implemented starting next semester.

The meeting will now be comprised of 5 shows and one extended break (roughly 40-50 minutes). The break will be a time for discussion of the shows and related issues, socializing, as well as voting on shows (to be discussed later in this post).

We will be meeting this Saturday, March 19th at 11:59pm at the bus stop in front of the Tate Center to paint the street for this semester's MDOA. It's always a good time, so please come out to help us if you can!

MDOA Banner-making

Because of UGA's closing on Wednesday the 11th, we will not be having a viewing meeting. Regular viewing meetings will resume next Wed the 19th as planned. We will keep you informed if anything changes.

In the meantime, try to enjoy the snow =)

We will not be holding an Org meeting on Monday, January 10th, or on the 17th due to the holiday. The next Org meeting will be held on the 24th. The first viewing meeting of this semester will be on Wednesday the 12th, which will be Mystery M33t. We'll begin showing the regular schedule again on the 19th.

After last night's election, UGAnime now has a new Logistics Officer: Rayna Harrelson. Congratulations, Rayna, and thank you to everyone who ran and came out to vote.
